Handmade Lavender Castile Soap full of nourishing Olive Oil and soothing lavender to delight the senses and nourish the skin. Net wt is 95gms
Ingredients: Saponified Olive (Sodium Olivate) Oil, Purified (aqua purifica) water, saponified Coconut (sodium cocoate) Oil, Saponified Palm (Sodium Palmate) oil, Lavender Essential oil, Lavender buds
The Olive Oil is a conditioning and emollient oil protecting the skin and allowing it to "breathe" and retain moisture.
Coconut Oil gives a rich lather to the soap and will even lather up well in hard water areas or even in salt water.
Palm Oil is used because it does not dry the skin and it creates a hard soap and is a replacement for tallow or animal fats which our grandparents used to make soap.
Lavender Essential Oil (a natural plant oil) has been used to provide a soothing fragrance to the soap, rather than using a fragrant oil (a synthetic substance derived from petrochemicals). It has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and was often used in WW1 as a disinfectant in the hospitals. It soothes and calms dry and sensitive skin, while its sweet floral fragrance helps to balance and calm mood swings.
The addition of lavender buds provides mild exfoliation of old dead skin cells.
